COLLECTIONS

Description: The Autry Library’s Route 66 collecting areas cover the history of the trans-Mississippi West, tourism, fine art, women in the West, the making, marketing and consumption of popular Western entertainment, and the perceptions of the region worldwide.

Regions Covered: Trans-Mississippi West, American Southwest, Arizona and California

Type of Materials: Books (and rare books), serials, maps, photographs, manuscript and archive collections, artwork, tourist related publications and ephemera, DVD’s and CD’s, and museum artifacts

Time Periods: Route 66 related collections date from the 19th century to the present
