COLLECTIONS

Description: Cline Library Special Collections and Archives (SCA) at Northern Arizona University preserves and provides access to the human and natural history of the Colorado Plateau. A core collecting focus includes the history Route 66 in the state of Arizona. SCA has approximately 20 collections documenting the history and culture of Route 66 in Arizona collection including visual materials, monographic titles, oral histories, documents, vertical files, and maps. Highlights include the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona records, the Angel Delgadillo collection, and Route 66 Car Club of Flagstaff records. The library promotes and makes these collections, as well as over 500 other collections, available online and onsite through our reference services, exhibits and public programming, and outreach and engagement with faculty, students, and the broader research community.

Regions Covered: Colorado Plateau Region. Route 66 focus areas include Arizona, California and New Mexico, with some material covering Texas and Oklahoma.
