Description: The Wheels Museum focuses on the history of transportation in Albuquerque and New Mexico, and as such, will serve as a major reference point and information source for visitors and researchers interested in the history and preservation of Route 66 across the state. Current plans call for a permanent exhibit of Route 66 memorabilia. The Museum is in the early phases of a planned major expansion; archival and exhibition materials will be in some state of uncertainty for the near future.
